Meera (Kasue Hashimoto) was born in Ishikawa, Japan, in 1947. In 1966 he began his studies at Musashino Art University in Tokyo and after touring Europe he finally settled in Toledo, Spain.
In 1974, Meera became a disciple of the Indian mystic Osho and began to work in India and Japan. In 1979, at Osho’s suggestion, she and Geetesh Gibson established Osho Art and began leading art workshops throughout the world. Meera developed new methods of creative expression related to therapeutic and meditative processes. More than 40 Osho books are illustrated with Meera’s paintings.
She led art therapy, creativity training and workshops at Osho Meditation Resort in Puna, India, and all around the world. She set out on her journey to other dimensions on February 22, 2017, honoring us with the great legacy of rebirthing creativity within ourselves with simplicity and totality.
